Terms of Use

1. What Rishmon is

Rishmon is an educational paper-trading platform for NSE index options. It lets you practise constructing and managing option strategies using virtual funds against indicative market data.

Rishmon is not a stock broker, trading member, clearing member, depository participant, research analyst, investment adviser or portfolio manager. It is not registered with the Securities and Exchange Board of India, and it is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the National Stock Exchange of India, BSE, or any exchange or index provider. Index and instrument names are used descriptively and remain the property of their owners.

Rishmon has a paper mode and a live mode. In paper mode no order reaches an exchange and no virtual balance has any monetary value or can be withdrawn. In live mode orders are placed in your own broker account with your own money. Rishmon never holds your funds in either mode. Nothing on Rishmon is investment advice or a recommendation to trade.

2. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you give us, for keeping your password confidential, and for everything done through your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else.

One account per person. Access is currently limited to a fixed number of accounts while Rishmon is in development, and registration may be closed at any time.

3. Acceptable use

Use Rishmon for your own practice and learning. You agree not to: use it for any unlawful purpose; attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, server or data; probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the platform; scrape, harvest, redistribute or resell market data obtained through it; use automated means to place volumes of simulated orders that degrade the service for others; reverse engineer or copy the platform; or present results obtained here as real trading performance to anyone.

Presenting simulated results as a real track record, whether to solicit funds or otherwise, may breach securities law independently of these terms.

4. Market data

Market data shown in Rishmon is obtained from publicly accessible sources, is provided on an "as is" basis for practice only, and may be delayed, incomplete or inaccurate. It is not a licensed real-time feed. We do not warrant its accuracy, and you must not rely on it for any real trading, valuation, reporting or compliance purpose. Redistribution is not permitted.

5. Broker connection

You may optionally connect a broker account. If you do, you authorise Rishmon to use the resulting access token to retrieve market data on your behalf and, when you switch live mode on, to place orders in that account. Rishmon never transfers funds. Note that your broker may not issue limited-scope credentials: the token you grant can carry more authority than Rishmon uses. You may disconnect at any time from Settings, which deletes the stored tokens. Your relationship with your broker is governed by their terms, not ours.

6. Beta software, availability and data

Rishmon is early-stage software, provided free of charge during beta. It is offered on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or uninterrupted availability.

We may modify, suspend, reset or discontinue any part of the platform, and may delete accounts or trading history, at any time and without notice. Please do not treat Rishmon as a system of record. Export anything you want to keep.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rishmon and the individual operating it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from or connected with your use of the platform — including any real trading decision you make on the basis of anything you saw, learned or achieved here.

Because Rishmon is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability to you for any claim relating to the platform is limited to ₹1,000. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud.

8. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rishmon and the individual operating it against any claim, loss or expense arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the platform, or your presentation of simulated results to third parties.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have breached these terms or if we discontinue the service. You may stop using Rishmon at any time and may ask us to delete your account — see the Privacy Policy for how.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The "last updated" date at the top will change, and continued use after that date means you accept the revised terms. For material changes we will make reasonable efforts to notify registered users by email.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Hyderabad, Telangana shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
